The completion of a 320m2 bluestone laneway for a client in James Street included the removal of the existing surface, excavation, and the installation of a bluestone pitcher channel. We also completed an adjacent footpath
The reconstruction of Matthews ROW also comprised of a complete demolition of the existing laneway. The Blue Peak Constructions team completed the new laneway with 574m2 of 150mm reinforced concrete paving, 80m of concrete V-channel and reinstatement of crossovers.
Our team were engaged to complete the streetscape construction of two commercially used laneways in Hastings, for the Mornington Peninsula Shire. Works included the reconstruction of these two laneways, both with restricted access, and with an architectural concrete finish. This project included the installation of eight public lights and posts, garden areas, the upgrade of drainage and 330m2 of concrete paving which featured four colours in multiple pours. Who said streetscapes had to be boring? We loved working on this personality-filled space.
In keeping with the heritage of the area, this bluestone laneway was reconstructed predominately in Bluestone with the added drainage benefit of a concrete v-channel aiding drainage flow, and finished with concrete edge strips. At over 150m long, and less than 3m width, this was definitely a tight working area. We installed approximately 120m of drainage and multiple pits.
